Reconnect the procedural record after an enforcement closure
The matter had entered enforcement without producing sufficient payment and had passed through a closure of the current enforcement procedure. The client and the court were in different regions, making document review, investigation and additional formalities more demanding. Changes in case-handling arrangements also required a fresh check of completed work and outstanding responses.
Shanghai Shenxin Law Firm gathered the authority and enforcement materials and organised the existing applications and responses into specific tasks to follow. This account concerns the documented investigation and payments. It does not infer the original claim amount from a proposed settlement figure or present a proposal still being considered as an agreement that had already been completed.
Track an investigation order beyond its issue
The team stayed in contact with the court about WeChat and Alipay investigation material. Whether a response had arrived, could be reviewed and was available for analysis were separate questions to establish. Submission of an application did not necessarily mean that usable information had already reached counsel.
In a cross-region matter, those details affect whether an inquiry can move forward. The team followed individual tasks by telephone, messages through the court service channel and submission of papers in person. The practical purpose was to obtain the material and clarify its status, enabling the client to understand whether the next obstacle concerned a response, an authority document or analysis of information already received.
Account activity gives a concrete direction for further inquiry
Analysis of the payment-account responses indicated continuing use of related bank accounts. The team used that information to direct further work toward bank transaction records. The revised inquiry grew out of material already obtained, with the next request intended to address a specific question raised by the previous response.
Possible historical asset information was also considered for further investigation, without presenting planned work as a confirmed asset finding. Recovery figures continued to be based on actual payment records and case reconciliation. Keeping a proposed direction, a response received and a completed payment distinct made the case record clearer and helped focus further communication on the information or action still needed.
Keep authority documents and applications ready for the next step
To advance the bank investigation, counsel prepared updated authority documents and resubmitted the relevant applications as required. The team followed signatures, dispatch and receipt, and continued discussing the specific inquiry with the court, including delivery of the necessary papers in person.
For the client, these formalities can appear removed from payment, but they affect whether the investigation can be carried out. Managing them alongside financial analysis helped keep an identified direction from stalling at a documentation gap. Responses that remained outstanding stayed on the follow-up list. The team did not treat the request for further bank information as proof that additional recoverable funds had already been located.
Check the source of a proposal and distinguish it from payment
During the work, a settlement intention was conveyed through someone who had previously participated in communications. Counsel checked the source and the actual position behind the message and discussed the creditor’s acceptable terms. A proposed amount still required confirmation of who had offered it, the client’s decision and how it would be performed.
The proposal in the case record was not treated as a completed discharge. Investigation continued while actual receipts were recorded separately. That preserved a basis for further discussions and kept the recovery figure tied to money already received. The RMB 60,000 result reported here comes from three bank entries and does not include any other unperformed proposal or suggested arrangement.
Three receipts total RMB 60,000, including a payment through the court
The three bank entries show RMB 30,000, RMB 20,000 and RMB 10,000, totalling RMB 60,000. The first two correspond to direct payments by the debtor. For the RMB 10,000 entry, the team established that the debtor had voluntarily paid the amount to the court for onward release; it was not the compulsory bank deduction initially understood.
Both voluntary payment and a court deduction can produce a receipt, but they describe different methods of performance. Correcting the source attribution kept the case record accurate. The RMB 60,000 remains a partial recovery. The remaining debt, further investigation and any settlement arrangement continue to depend on additional information, the client’s decisions and performance that actually takes place.

Shanghai Shenxin Law Firm connected material and communications that sat at different stages: obtaining investigation responses, analysing account activity, completing authority requirements, checking proposals and reconciling receipts. Distance increased the demands of communication and document management, making a defined next task and consistent follow-through particularly useful.
For a client facing similar obstacles, the effective decision, enforcement and closure records, earlier investigation responses and payment evidence help counsel assess the present position. Further work can then be planned from that information. This matter demonstrates a concrete recovery alongside continuing obligations, with accurate reporting of what has been achieved forming an essential part of the professional service.
